Recent Highlights

  • Volleyball earned a spot to the 2024 NJCAA D-I Volleyball Championship for the second straight year and just the fourth time in school history. They placed third in the nation!
  • No. 1 in graduation and No. 1 in fall-to-fall retention, again.
  • CCC is the only Kansas community college to have positive enrollment between 2013-2023.
  • No. 1 in graduation rates among all Kansas community colleges and the best retention rate.
  • Men's and women's cross country swept the 2023 Region VI championships. The men finished third at the national meet, and the women fifth.
  • Volleyball won the 2023 Region VI/Plains District title and advanced to the NJCAA D-I Volleyball Championships for the first time since 1978. They also had the second-highest grade point average in the country with a 3.85.
  • The 2023 Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) and Practical Nursing (PN) programs achieved a 100% first-time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
  • The 2022-23 Distance Learning Veterinary Nursing Program graduates who sat for the Veterinary Technology National Exam (VTNE) achieved a 100% first-time pass rate.
  • Men's cross country won the 2022 national championship. and repeated as Region VI champions.
  • CCC ranked first in Best Associate Degrees in Kansas report.
  • No. 1 in graduation rates among Kansas community colleges in 2022, and second in fall-to-fall retention.
  • Men's cross country placed first in the 2021 Region VI championships and third nationally.
  • In 2021, women's softball won their second consecutive Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference western division title. Men's cross country won the Region VI title and placed third nationally.
  • In 2020, men's basketball won the program's first KJCCC western division title.
  • No. 1 in graduation rates among all Kansas community colleges in 2018 and 2019 and consistently near the top.
  • The highest retention rate among Kansas community colleges in 2018 and 2019.
  • CCC posted the largest increase in five-year student headcount at 27.3% between 2014 and 2019.
  • In 2019, women's softball won the program's first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference western division title. They also had the highest team GPA (3.67) in the nation!
  • One of only five institutions in the country to offer a veterinary nursing program both on-campus and online, and ranked No. 6 nationally as one of the Most Affordable Online Colleges for Veterinary Technicians (2017, SR Education Group).
