The H.F. Davis Memorial Library provides resources and services to support learning, research, and student success.
Research and Resources
Students have access to print and digital collections, eBooks, periodicals, academic journals, research databases, U.S. Government documents, and Kansas State resources.
The Library also provides access to:
- Library catalog
- Academic databases
- Government information
- Interlibrary loan services
- Online research resources
- Computers and campus Wi-Fi
- Printing services
- Study areas and group tables
Library databases are available to CCC students. Some databases require login credentials when accessed from off campus.
Study and Student Space
The Library provides a comfortable environment for individual and collaborative study. Students can use individual study areas, group tables, computers, Wi-Fi, and other available resources.
For a break from studying, the Library also offers puzzles, board games, and oversized chess.
The Comprehensive Learning Center (CLC) is located inside the H.F. Davis Memorial Library and provides free academic support.
Students who need help writing an essay, solving a math problem, preparing for an exam, or understanding course material are encouraged to use the CLC.
Free Tutoring
Tutoring is available at no cost.
Tutors are available in core subjects including:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
Tutoring in additional subjects may be available upon request.

Students can schedule a 30-minute tutoring appointment online by selecting an available tutor and choosing a convenient time.

Online Tutoring
CCC students also have access to Tutor.com 24/7 Online Tutoring through Canvas. Online tutoring can be used by both face-to-face and online students.

Test Proctoring
The Library and Comprehensive Learning Center provide test proctoring services for CCC students and non-CCC students for a variety of testing situations.
Proctoring appointments must be scheduled in advance. Proctoring times are scheduled in Central Standard Time (CST).
Students should contact the CLC at least two weeks in advance when scheduling an exam.

Friday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: 1:00–7:00 p.m.
Summer and Break Hours
Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday: Closed
The Library is closed on campus holidays.
H.F. Davis Library is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law (Title 44 United States Code).
Library Databases
Access to databases is limited to CCC students. Databases are available on campus through IP recognition.

This database is helpful for locating dissertations, U.S. Government publications, specific databases, eBooks, and some open-access content. It will allow you to access WorldCat worldwide, which may be helpful to online students. Username and password information is available through the Database Login Credentials resource. - Gale Pages
Within Gale Pages, you will find search engines for many products Gale offers our students. The most popular are the Human Anatomy interface and Opposing Viewpoints. Additionally, there is Genealogy, Archives, literary index, eBooks, and Primary Sources. Opposing Viewpoints is used extensively in the English Department for Composition Classes. Username and password information is available through the Database Login Credentials resource. - NewsBank
NewsBank has partnerships with over 12,000 publishers worldwide to provide current events and archival information for research. It can be useful for introductory research, historical purposes, and current news. Username and password information is available through the Database Login Credentials resource. - Ovid
Ovid nursing databases provide information from several leading nursing journals. Full-text articles with historical references are available for research and online information. - State of Kansas Online Resources
This database is provided by the State Library of Kansas. It can be accessed anywhere a Kansas IP is available. Students can use it to access research tools, borrow eBooks and talking books, and locate journals.
