Frequently Asked Questions
Is there wireless internet, and will I need to bring a router? There is wireless internet in each of the buildings, so there is no need to buy a router
What size is the bed? What kind of bedding will they need? The beds are twin standard.
Can I bring a microwave/mini fridge? Yes, students are allowed both microwaves and mini fridges.
Is there a study space in the dorms? Yes there are common areas in each complex with a computer banks.
What pets are allowed in the dorms? ONLY service animals are allowed. Documentation must be presented to the Director before moving in.
What furniture is in the room? The rooms have Bed and mattress, closet, desk and chair, dresser.
How many RAs/dorm coordinators are on campus? We have three professional staff -- one in each complex and 10 student RAs.
How can I contact Residence Life? Housing Office: 785.460.5552; Student Life Office: 785.460 4610.
Please tell me about security. CCC has a full-time security officer, 785.460.5508, available in the Student Union. We also have night security.
Where is health services and how to contact them? CCC has a full-time nurse, 785.460.5502, available in the Student Union.
Can I have a toaster? NO, we do not allow toasters or anything with an exposed heating coil.
Can I have a coffee maker? YES!
Can I have a miniature grill? NO, we do not allow anything with an open flame around the residence halls. There are two grill on campus for student use.
Can I have visitors? Visitors are welcome until midnight on weekdays and 1 a.m. on the weekends.
Where should people back home send my letters and cookies? Inquire in the Mailroom daily. You may take outgoing mail to the Campus Mailroom, located in the Student Union.
Incoming mail should be addressed with the student's name printed clearly on the envelope or package in the following format:

Meal Plan and Information
Eighteen meals a week are offered. Meal plans are required for all students living in campus housing.
If you cannot make a meal time please contact Consolidated Food Management (Student Union) or a member of the dining staff regarding take-out meals. Consolidated works with students to provide dining options that fit their individual needs including take-out meals, gluten free, dairy free, etc.
