Colby Community College technical program graduates place second in earnings among
graduates of two-year public institutions in the state, according to the Kansas Board
of Regents.
The Kansas Training Information Program (K-TIP) report found that graduates of CCC
technical programs earned a median income of $36,571 in 2015. Information in the report
is compiled from data submitted to the Kansas Board of Regents from the individual
postsecondary institutions and supplemented with data provided by the Kansas Department
of Labor where available.
Established in 1987, the K-TIP publishes employment and wage data for all approved
postsecondary career technical education programs offered by six technical colleges,
19 community colleges, and Washburn Institute of Technology.
“These metrics are vitally important when determining how well our students perform
in the real world,” said CCC president Seth Carter. “Our students continue to achieve
at one of the highest levels in the state, and it is a testament to their work ethic
and abilities, as well the dedication of CCC faculty and staff.”
CCC has several one and two-year programs that place students in high-demand industries
upon completion. The curriculums include agriculture, allied health, business, criminal
justice, dental hygienist, massage therapy, nursing, physical therapist assistant,
sustainable/renewable energy and veterinary technology.
