Colby Community College technical program graduates earn more money than graduates from any other two-year public institution in the state, according to the Kansas Board of Regents.

The Kansas Training Information Program (K-TIP) report found that graduates of CCC technical programs made an average of $36,159 in 2014, about $3,000 more than the next closest institution and about $8,000 above the state average.

CCC has several one and two-year programs that place students in high-demand industries upon completion. The curriculums include agriculture, allied health, business, criminal justice, dental hygienist, massage therapy, nursing, physical therapist assistant, sustainable/renewable energy and veterinary technology.

Established in 1987, the K-TIP reports employment and wage data for all approved postsecondary career technical education programs offered by six technical colleges, 19 community colleges, and Washburn Institute of Technology. Information in the report is compiled from data submitted to the Kansas Board of Regents from the individual postsecondary institutions and supplemented with data provided by the Kansas Department of Labor where available.
