As the weather warms up, Colby Community College is giving novice anglers a chance to learn the fundamentals of fishing with PE 130: Introduction to Fishing. The one-credit hour course is open to individuals ages 16 and up and runs from April 14 through May 8.
Designed for beginners, the class covers essential fishing techniques, including stringing a pole, tying various knots, casting, and more. Students will put their skills into practice through hands-on experience, making it an ideal starting point for anyone looking to enjoy the sport. The class will finish at Villa High in Colby.
All gear is included. Current students should contact the Trojan Advising Center to enroll in the class, which fulfills a physical education graduation requirement. New students can get started at www.colbycc.edu/apply.
