The 2013 edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges will include the names of 18 students from Colby Community College who have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders.
Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
They join an elite group of students from more than 1,000 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations.
- Students selected for the honor must be a sophomore with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.
- Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1966.
Students named this year from Colby Community College include McKayla Albertson (Selden) Megan Alcala (Montezuma), Dryden Baumfalk (Colby), Kyle Berkgren (Oakley), John Clarke (Ness City), Lindsey Estes (Marienthal), Taylor Gibson (Marysville), Stephanie Hornbaker (Holcomb), Chelsea Jonte (Tescott), Matthew Lambert (Colby), Rachel Myers (Colby), Bailey Pfortmiller (Natoma), Andrea Roeder (Goodland), Michaela Simmelink (Colby), Cheyanne Sowers (Oakley), Anna Taylor (Colby), Kaycee Williams (Colby), and Ashley Archer (Goodland).
