Colby Community College sophomore volleyball player Maja Jankovic was named the week
eight Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Division I Defensive Player
of the Week.
Jankovic, a 5’7” libero from Ruma, Serbia, had one of her best defensive weeks yet
in Colby's busiest week of the season. She tallied more than 20 digs in three of the
six matches to average 5.8 digs per set.
Jankovic has been player of the week twice this season. Last year she was recognized
four times on the way to being named Jayhawk Conference Freshman of the Year.
The Lady Trojans are 22-7 overall and tied for first at 11-2 in the conference. Saturday
they host Pratt for a 2 p.m. conference game at the Colby Community Building.
