Colby Community College freshman Maja Jankovic was selected by the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) as the Division I Defensive Player of the Week. 

Jankovic, a 5’7” libero from Ruma, Serbia, averaged 6.33 digs per set at the Subway Classic tournament August 22-23 in North Platte, Neb. She tallied 35 digs against a tough Casper College team, 32 digs in a five-set match against Sheridan College, and 14 digs in matches against both Eastern Wyoming and Northeastern Junior College.  In addition to her defensive performance, Jankovic served 10 aces over the four games and had six set assists. 

The Lady Trojans are 2-2 as they open conference play at home August 26 against Seward County Community College.
