For the second time Colby Community College freshman Maja Jankovic was named by the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) as the Division I Defensive Player of the Week. 

Jankovic, a 5’7” libero from Ruma, Serbia, notched 22 digs in the five set come-from-behind win against Barton County Sept. 16. She has 314 digs in her freshman season at CCC, and ranks fifth in the nation in digs per set at 6.54.  In addition to her defensive performance, she also had two assists and two aces in the win over Barton.

Currently Jankovic and the Lady Trojans are on a four-game winning streak, 7-7 overall and 4-2 in the Jayhawk West.
