Colby Community College men’s track athlete Gennard Paul signed a letter of intent last week to compete for Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La.  Paul, a native of Grenada, currently holds the CCC indoor triple jump, outdoor long jump and javelin school record.

Southeastern Louisiana University is a Division-I university that competes in the Southland Conference. Southeastern Louisiana won the 2014 Southland Conference Indoor Track Championships over the weekend.

Paul becomes the ninth Trojan to head to the Southland Conference during Head Coach James Ortiz’s tenure.
