The Colby Community College equestrian team wrapped up their fall schedule Nov. 21-22
as Reserve High Point Team at a western show hosted by Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyo. For the second straight weekend
CCC finished just behind the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Sophomore Jade Kruse was recognized as Reserve High Point Rider both days. Her performance
in Reining earned enough points to qualify for the Regional Championships in February.
Sophomore Kenzie Hansen also qualified for regionals in Intermediate Horsemanship.
“We continue practice and workouts through the end of the semester,” said coach Shanda
Mattix. “The spring semester schedule begins with a hunt seat competition hosted by
Colorado College January 30-31.”
