Brad Bennett’s business students heard from one of the nation’s top marketing experts during class on Friday, Oct. 9.
Mike Russell senior partner at Accenture in Atlanta, Ga., spoke to two class sessions. Accenture is a large global management-consulting firm which reported revenues of over $23 billion with approximately 177,000 employees in more than 120 countries in 2009.
As a senior partner Russell played an instrumental role in launching and marketing the iPhone. The iPhone was one of the largest and most successful launching of a new technology item in the past decade.
Russell also managed the project for the $32 billion merger between AT&T and Cingular.
He spoke at the University of Colorado graduate school on Thursday, Oct. 8.
“Mike and his wife Katie made the drive east to speak to our students at CCC,” said Bennett. “It was a great honor to have an industry leader the caliber of Mike to come to CCC.”
Russell spoke about the iPhone project, marketing, management, communication and hard work.
“The students thoroughly enjoyed his presentations,” said Bennett. “I look forward to continuing this relationship and having the opportunity to have Mike visit CCC again in the future.
“I enjoyed the opportunity to speak with the CCC students,” said Russell. “They were engaging and asked great questions. CCC has a beautiful campus and great facilities.”
