Colby Community College President Seth Carter announced the selection of Brad Bennett
as Vice President of Academic Affairs. Bennett will fill the position vacated by Greg Nichols, who was recently hired to be the next president at Salina Area Technical
College.
“Mr. Bennett is a wonderful addition to the CCC administrative team,” said Carter.
“He brings with him an excellent teaching and academic background. He is one of those
rare individuals who has the respect of everyone because of the way he conducts himself
and treats others. We are extremely excited about having him in the vice president
role.”
Bennett has been an instructor in the business department at CCC since 2008. He has
served as chair of the Business and Industry/Behavior Social Sciences division and
president of the CCC Faculty Alliance. In 2015 he received CCC’s Tangeman Award for
Teaching Excellence.
Before entering education Bennett worked in management and new store development for
two leaders in the outdoor sporting goods industry. Born in Tulsa, Okla., he holds
a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Metro State University and a Master’s
in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Bennett officially begins his new post July 1.
“I will miss the classroom environment but I look forward to helping students and
faculty in my new role,” he said.
He and wife Lindsay have two daughters, Marybelle and Madeline.
