With the 2026-2027 wrestling season fast approaching, the Colby Community College Men's Wrestling team and Head Coach Joseph Cornejo are once again beginning their Hometown Sponsorship program.
Who Can Become a Sponsor?
Any business, corporation, group or individual can support a student-athlete throughout their time wrestling for Colby Community College. The program seeks community members focused on the well-being of the young men in the program and willing to provide support to enhance the college wrestling experience.
Why Support Trojan Athletes?
Our student-athletes are unique individuals who strive to succeed both in the classroom and in the gym. By juggling schoolwork, practice, team events, and personal lives, they put in the time and effort to better themselves and those around them. The student-athletes in our program come from a variety of different backgrounds, all landing in our tight-knit community. As members of Northwestern Kansas, we know what makes it great; now we want our student-athletes to understand that, too.
The goal of this year's program is to provide access to gear and training that remains above the junior college level. With your support, our athletes will receive two brand-new wrestling mats, new headgear, and access to scholarships, while helping the program continue to grow.
What Does It Cost?
The annual membership rate is $150. All sponsorships recognized by the program are also tax-deductible.
What Do You Receive?
The program wants to ensure that community members and sponsors continue to be recognized for their gracious support. This year, sponsors will receive;
- Recognition on individual roster pages on our athletics website
- Links on the men's wrestling pages to your website
- Other opportunities with the program throughout the year
*All sponsorship information will remain on the Colby Community College Men's Wrestling Athletics page for the duration of the academic year.
How Do I Sign Up?
There are several ways to join the Hometown Sponsors program:
- Mailing the completed form and payment to Coach Cornejo;
- Scanning the QR code on the flyer and submitting electronically; or
- Calling Coach Joseph Cornejo at (316) 680-1198.
*All sponsorships must be received by October 31, 2026. Students cannot accept payment directly.
