Trojans Athletics Director Kenny Hernandez announced the hiring of Brennan Harmer as the Colby Community College coordinator of athletics and sports information director.

Harmer joins Colby after two years as the sports information graduate assistant at Clarkson University in New York, where he earned a Master of Business Administration and an advanced certificate in environmental management. He helped cover 18 NCAA Division III athletic programs, primarily men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball. He also oversaw digital media for the athletic communications department.

Harmer earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from SUNY Canton. He began working in athletic communications as a student assistant, primarily covering baseball and softball game-day operations while contributing content to the university’s athletics website.

The Madrid, New York, native is looking forward to continuing high-level coverage of the Trojan student-athletes while also becoming involved in the community.

"I'm really looking forward to working with the Colby athletic department and campus as a whole. As soon as I stepped on campus, I had a great feeling about the school and felt that this is a place that will help me grow both personally and professionally."

A former two-sport student-athlete as a member of the Kangaroo soccer and basketball teams, he was recognized as the university's 2024 Male Student-Athlete of the Year as a senior.

In addition to sports information, Harmer worked as a basketball camp counselor for St. Lawrence University and was a New York State high school soccer official.
