Colby Community College alumna Natalie Timbrook has been awarded the Fort Hays State University Community College President Transfer Scholarship by Colby Community College President Dr. Seth Carter. The $2,000 scholarship supports students transferring from Kansas community colleges to Fort Hays State University.

Timbrook, an agribusiness major from Ney, Ohio, plans to transfer to Fort Hays State University this fall to complete her bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and pursue a career in the agriculture industry.

The scholarship program was created to encourage academic achievement and support seamless transfer opportunities for community college students pursuing four-year degrees. The award recognizes student success and the role community colleges play in preparing students for continued education.

Timbrook was active at Colby Community College as a Presidential Scholar and member of Phi Theta Kappa.

“I am very grateful for my time at CCC and the connections I have made, especially Dr. Carter, who selected me for this scholarship,” Timbrook said. “CCC has provided many opportunities and resources that will help me successfully transfer to FHSU this fall.”
