COLBY -- Thomas County Farm Bureau contributed $2,000 to the new Colby Community College agriculture building at a presentation on Tuesday morning where the facility is being built.
After the presentation, college president Dr. Seth Carter gave Farm Bureau board members a tour.
"Colby Community College continues to be humbled by the support we have received from the community," Carter said. "Farm Bureau has been so vital in offering opportunities in agriculture, and we are so thankful for their continued support and partnership."
The 12,400-square-foot building includes the main level on a basement with six classrooms, the largest of which can seat 53 students. The facility also has offices for 16 full-time ag employees and a 28-person meeting room.
Completion is anticipated in August 2023 before the fall semester begins.
