In a recent national study, Intelligent.com recognized Colby Community College as offering the best associate degree among online veterinary nursing programs.
Intelligent.com analyzed 288 programs and evaluated curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment, with only 17 institutions making the final list. CCC ranks No. 5. The complete list and methodology are posted on the organization's website.
The CCC distance learning veterinary nursing program began in 2012 and recently earned full accreditation by the American Veterinary Medical Association. The college is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the on-campus program, which received continued full accreditation by the AVMA following a site visit in September.
The program includes veterinarians Dr. Jennifer Martin, Dr. Shad Clymer, and Dr. Beth Fenton. Other faculty are registered veterinary technicians Angie Harris and Tyler Appleby, as well as Veterinary Nursing Enrollment and Retention Specialist Mandy Quenzer. Six adjunct instructors also teach online courses.
