The Oct. 10 Colby Community College Thirsty Thursday art show will feature pieces by Colby 's Mike McLaughlin, as well as CCC ceramics students and other artists from the community. The exhibit is open from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Northwest Kansas Cultural Arts Center gallery on campus.

"Mike showed for our art walk last spring and has been working on a lot of new ideas," said CCC art instructor Rebel Mahieu. "At the October show he will be showing acrylic, mixed media, and some Native American pieces. Some will be for sale."

The CCC art department hosts Thirsty Thursday most months during the academic year. There is no admission charge.
