The first Thirsty Thursday art show of the year at Colby Community College will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 20 in the Cultural Arts Center gallery.
The exhibit will feature a variety of area artists from northwest Kansas. Sculptures, paintings, watercolors, pencil drawings and mixed media will be on display from professional artists Kim and Kary Zweygardt from St. Francis, Garden City Community College art instructors Brian McCallum and Michael Knutson, Abby Killingsworth from Goodland, and Hoxie’s Diane Pratt. From the Colby area Doyle and Sarah Saddler, Suzanne Schielke and CCC’s Rebel Mahieu will also be part of the show.
Refreshments will be served and a door prize for a two-hour art lesson of the winner's choice will be given away.
The CCC art department hosts Thirsty Thursday on the third Thursday of most months during the academic year. There is no admission charge.
