Colby Community College announced the hiring of Nikol Nolan as Executive Director of Student Affairs. In part of a division reorganization, she is the first person to hold the position.
CCC is a familiar place for Nolan. She served as an admissions counselor from 2001 to 2005, and then eight years as director of the department. Since that time she has been food service director for Colby Public Schools.
“I am looking forward to returning to Colby Community College,” she said. “The college has a strong history of helping students reach their goals, and I am excited to be part of that tradition again.”
In her role, Nolan will oversee the admissions, outreach and registrar’s offices. She is responsible for leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of departmental operations.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Kansas State University and a Master of Liberal Studies with an emphasis in organizational leadership from Fort Hays State University.
Nolan and husband Ray, a teacher and coach in the Brewster school district, have two daughters, Logan and Myka.
She began her new post on July 17.
