Colby Community College has the highest graduation rates among all Kansas community colleges, according to the 2018 Community College Data Book. The annual report was released last week by the Kansas Board of Regents.
Data is based on the 2013 cohort of students. Graduation rates are measured by the percentage of first-time, full-time students who graduate within 100 percent (two years to earn an associate degree) and 150 percent (three years for an associate degree) of the published time for the program.
Colby ranked first in both categories. The college graduated 39.3 percent in the two-year period, a mark that is 3.1 percent higher than the next closest institution. CCC also graduated 46.3 percent in the three-year window, 5 percent better than the next closest.
“This data represents the quality of work across our campus," said Vice President of Academic Affairs Brad Bennett. "It is also a reflection of the dedication and hard work of CCC students."
