Dr. Jennifer Martin serves as the Director of the On-Campus and Distance Learning
Veterinary Nursing Programs at Colby Community College. She loves helping students
throughout their time in the program and watching them develop into amazing veterinary
nurses.
Dr. Martin grew up in southeastern Indiana and has always had a love for animals. She was a 4-H member for many years and enjoyed showing her miniature poodle in obedience and showmanship classes. An alumnus of Purdue University, Dr. Martin earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation, she worked as a feedlot staff veterinarian and an associate veterinarian in a mixed animal practice.
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Veterinary Technician Educators, and Garden City Kennel Club. In addition, she serves on the board of directors of the Heartland Afghan Hound Club of Greater Kansas City.
Dr. Martin and her husband have several dogs and horses. They enjoy showing their Afghan Hounds and Border Collies in AKC conformation shows across the country.
