Faculty Profile

Dr. Jennifer Martin serves as the Director of the On-Campus and Distance Learning Veterinary Nursing Programs at Colby Community College. She brings extensive veterinary experience to her role. Prior to CCC, she worked as a feedlot staff veterinarian and as an associate veterinarian in a mixed animal veterinary practice, gaining valuable experience in both large and small animal care.

Dr. Martin is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Association of Veterinary Technician Educators. She also serves on the boards of the Heartland Afghan Hound Club of Greater Kansas City and the Garden City Kansas Kennel Club.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Martin is actively involved in the American Kennel Club (AKC) show community. She travels across the country showing her Afghan Hounds in AKC conformation dog shows, combining her passion for veterinary medicine with her dedication to the sport and care of purebred dogs.
