Feedyard
Certificate of Completion
This program was created to benefit both students interested in the feedyard industry and also feedyards in Northwest Kansas. Students learn the necessary skills to be successful within a feedyard setting so they require minimal training upon arrival at a feedyard operation. Students will learn welding, communicating in Spanish, horseback riding in a feedyard setting, processing cattle, feeding cattle proper rations, and much more. If applicable, there is an internship opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career within a feedyard.
Students gain a professional relationship with adjunct instructors who are employed at local feedyards, which helps with future internships and employment.
