All in all, being a student at Colby has really changed my life, I knew in August
right before I left for school that it was going to be a big change, but it was a
really good decision. I have met so many people from around the world that go to this
college. I have also met some really good people that I know will be in my life forever.

When I first came to Colby, I was nervous because I was far from home. But after being here for a while, it felt like my second home. Going to class, all my teachers were very welcoming, which made my transition that much better. What made my experience at Colby so special was being able to be a part of the equestrian team because it made me feel even more at home getting to do what I love, which is riding and showing horses. The title "community college" really lives up to its name. The people are family to me, and I cried like a baby when I realized my journey here was coming to an abrupt ending. The connections you make here with the coaches and teachers are absolutely priceless. They laughed with me, challenged me, motivated me, and turned my weaknesses into strengths. We have such a strong support system here. I will eternally cherish the memories as I now look back with pride that I am a graduate of Colby Community College. Courtney Tinkham |
