Program Summary

Associate of Science

Colby Community College is in a unique position among Kansas community colleges by being able to offer licensed veterinarians as advisors to pre-veterinary students. Students not only receive excellent classroom instruction but also are exposed to the field of veterinary medicine and its various career opportunities. This contact with the profession assists students in career orientation, motivation and performance. The veterinarians at Colby Community College maintain close ties with the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University in order to better advise students in course selection and help prepare them for application to the College of Veterinary Medicine.

The suggested programs of study represents the minimum course work required to earn an Associate of Science degree. Students should meet with advisors to appropriately plan their actual programs of study and schedules.
