Program Summary
The Associate of Science in Chemistry is for students intending to transfer into a
bachelor's program in chemistry. The curriculum is intended to meet typical requirements
of a transfer institution. The program may be modified to reflect student interests
and/or the requirements of a particular transfer institution.
High school students who plan to major in chemistry and pursue a professional career
should have strong preparation in mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics. Two
years of algebra and trigonometry should be a minimum; additional math, especially
