Board of Trustees Vacancy

The Colby Community College Board of Trustees is accepting applications from Thomas County residents to serve an unexpired term on the Board. The vacancy exists because a Board Member is unable to fulfill a term. The unexpired term runs from January 2024 through December 2028.

After submitting a resume and letter of interest by Jan. 15, 2024, candidates are asked to attend the Feb. 19, 2024, meeting with a prepared statement of five minutes or less summarizing their qualifications before answering questions from the Board. The individual selected will be sworn in that evening and serve the remaining four years of the term, which is up in December 2028.

The Board of Trustees is comprised of six members who are elected for a period of four years and serve without compensation. The regular meetings are on the third Monday of each month at 5 p.m. in the Thomas Hall board room. Special meetings are scheduled at various times as necessary. Meeting minutes are available for review.

To be considered, submit a resume and letter of application in Word or PDF format by Jan. 15 to:
