As winter gives way to warmer temperatures, Colby Community College is offering a fishing class for novice anglers ages 16 and up. Enrollment is open for PE 130 Introduction to Fishing, scheduled from April 15 through May 19.

The one-credit hour class meets on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. and teaches the basics of fishing, including how to string a pole, tie on different gear using knots, casting, and more. Students apply the theoretical knowledge they learn with hands-on experience to begin fishing.

All gear is included. Current students should contact the Trojan Advising Center to enroll in the class, which fulfills a physical education graduation requirement. New students can get started at www.colbycc.edu/apply.
